When you outsource production, your brand inherits your manufacturer's quality systems. Certifications like GMP, ISO 22000, and BRCGS are the shorthand buyers, retailers, and regulators use to judge whether a facility can make a safe, consistent product. Here is what each one actually means.
GMP is the baseline. It governs how a facility controls hygiene, equipment, documentation, raw-material testing, and batch traceability so that every unit is produced the same way, every time. For dietary supplements, GMP is what proves a product is made under controlled, repeatable conditions rather than improvised ones.
ISO 22000 is an internationally recognized food-safety management standard. It layers a structured, risk-based system (including HACCP principles) on top of day-to-day production — defining how hazards are identified, monitored, and corrected across the whole supply chain.
BRCGS is a leading global certification for food and consumer-product safety, widely required by international retailers. It is audited against a strict, graded scheme — and the grade (for example, Grade AA) signals how rigorously a facility performed.
Think of it as a ladder: GMP sets the floor, ISO 22000 adds a managed safety system, and BRCGS proves it all under a tough, independently graded audit.
These standards are complementary, not interchangeable. A facility that holds all three is showing it controls the basics (GMP), manages risk systematically (ISO 22000), and passes the scrutiny that global retailers demand (BRCGS). For an emerging brand, that combination removes a huge amount of due-diligence risk before you ever place an order.
Certifications are not just stickers — they affect which markets you can sell into, how quickly retailers will list you, and how defensible your label claims are. Mirfarma operates as a GMP, ISO, and BRCGS Grade AA certified facility, so the compliance groundwork is already in place for the brands we manufacture for.
